IRTON HALL WEDDING VENUE

The beautiful wedding day of hannah and josh took place at Irton Hall deep in the cumbrian hills close to Wast Water. being locals to the area Irton Hall made the perfect setting for the happy couple to take their vows and celebrate with friends and family. passionate about where they live mixed with having an authentic day they wanted photos of their real experience with just a few big dramatic photos taking in the heart of the lake district.

THE MORNING PREPARATIONS

It’s always a mega early up for me when at Irton hall so arrived nice and early as bridal prep was underway. Tracey Tennant Hair was working her magic on the bridal party as light streamed in through a huge bay window in the room we were in. Plenty of laughter and very few nerves, Hannah was so very excited for the day ahead. The whole morning was super relaxed and, when not about the bride, was all about hannah and josh’s new baby daughter, who was soooo cute!

with hair spray misting the air hair and makeup was completed and dresses were ready to go on. Hannahs gorgeous dress came from Te amo bridal in Workington. All of the bridal party helped each other get ready with everything from dress adjustments through to jewellery and shoes.

over in another part of Irton hall the groomsen were nearly ready with last minute checks of their suits from Good Fellows Menswear. The groomsmen prepared for the wedding with ease, sharing jokes and laughter all morning. There was a mix of excitement, aftershave and whisky in the air as they chatted and bantered.

THE CEREMONY

In the ceremony hall at irton hall everyone had gathered, with josh and his groomsmen relaxing at the head of the aisle a drink was shared and then everyone stood. rising to their feet for the bride josh kept his eyes to the front as long as he could (not that long) before he just had to look around to see hannah. The room had been styled partially by Perello Events and the creative efforts of the bride. Going for an autumnal feel the whole space looked amazing.

All of the bridal party looked incredible as they walked in ahead of hannah with the flower girl throwing her petals for hannah to walk over. Their bouquets matched the whole theme of the day perfectly made by Lisas Bespoke Gifts. the ceremony was heart felt and hannah just couldn’t stop smiling all the way through. Josh kept calm throughout but kept glancing at hannah with little smiles crossing his face all the way through the ceremony.

cheers and applause filled the air as they were pronounced husband and wife and had their first kiss. once the register was signed hannah and josh took their daughter from the mother of the bride and walked out of their ceremony.

After a short time chatting with friends and family we headed outside for the group photographs, which were great fun, and then on to a few photographs of hannah and josh by wast water and in the grounds of irton hall.

RECEPTION AND PARTY TIME

The wedding breakfast was styled in a gorgeous autumnal vibe echoing the ceremony, a perfect setting to share drink and food. Hannah and Josh walked in to a standing ovation before taking their seats. The speeches were full of history, nostalgia, a few tears and loads of laughter.

After food, a few more speeches and more laughter the evening got underway. West Coast Entertainments got the party started and kept the energy high with great music, incredible humour and an ability to really entertain. And then the hula hoops came out! I’ve never seen a guest bring hula hoops to a wedding before but what a brilliant idea. I think the photos speak for themselves.

Here are some of the photographs from this beautiful and great fun day. Congratulations to hannah and josh.
